Vong village has various types of green sticky rice: sticky fat varieties, Japanese sticky, flowers yellow sticky,…To make green sticky rice, villagers must go through a number of complicated steps. Firstly, the sticky rice must be harvested at just the right moment. When the paddy begins to ripen and still contains milk, it is reaped at early dawn. Villagers will pluck the rice off manually in order that the grains are not broken. Then, the grains dried in a large pan over a soft fire. Wood heater must be first special wood.
