Hanoi People’s Committee has issued the official letter 179/KH-UBND about an array of activities to mark the 61st anniversary of the capital’s Liberation Day (October 10, 1954 – October 10, 2015), so as to highlight the capital’s traditions, promote patriotism and revolutionary heroism, and national pride for officials, party members, Hanoi citizens as well.
Under the plan, Hanoi is organizing many cultural activities, performing arts, and sports to celebrate this special holiday. In particular, culture, art, sport performance will held on the evening of October 9 and October 10 at Ly Thai To Park and My Dinh National Staudim. Hanoi people are also immersed in Monsoon Music Festival 2015 in the October 8, 9, 10, 11 at Thang Long Royal Citadel.
Along with Ha Noi traditional village cultural festival (October 1 – October 4) in Quan Ngua Sports Palace, a book festival is an outstanding event which taken place from September 29 to October 5 in Thang Long Royal Citadel.
At this occasion, all districts of Hanoi engage in a wide range of cultural and art activities at public places, or exhibition to national history, open historical sites for locals and tourists.
