Tram Chim National Park in Tam Nong District of the Mekong Delta province has been chosen a venue the tourism festival from September 25 to 27 for the first time. The festival is held on the occasion of the 35th anniversary of World Tourism Day with the title “Tram Chim in the flooding season”.
Tram Chim National Park is considered as one of the most visited attractions in Mekong Delta with a stunning beauty and a diverse ecosystem. The 7,600 hectare National Park is home to over 100 vertebrate, 40 aquatic and 147 bird species.
This event draws an influx of both domestic and international tourists by various and fascinating activities including a contest of making artistic birds, a photo contest featuring fauna and flora of Tram Chim and a photo exhibition on the park that has been recognized as the world’s 2,000th site of the Ramsar Convention of Wetlands of International Importance, and a 3D photo exhibition on Dong Sen Thap Muoi eco-tourism site.
