Day 1: Hanoi – Ky Son village – Duong Lam Ancient village (L, D)
We meet the tour guide and driver at 8 AM at the lobby of the hotel in Hanoi then travel to the Moon Garden homestay in Ky Son Village. Welcome drink with local fresh green tea makes us fresh after more than 1 hour of driving then we are free to explore the homestay, local market, and kindergarten.
Later we join a local cooking class and then enjoy lunch. Relaxation time with traditional herbal hand massage, chatting with the local host family about local snacks, cultures, and learning about traditional customs… In the afternoon, we will take a bicycle ride to discover the Ky Son, Tam Son, Van Minh, and Cham farming communities, Duong Lam ancient village, and visit Mia Pagoda, Mong Phu Communal House… Then bike rides back along the ritual paths of Thang Thac village to discover the Ngo Quyen tomb, and Phung Hung temple – 2 heroes in one village.
Later afternoon, we return to the Moon Garden for happy hour. While waiting for our steam bath with fragrant herbs (Lemon grass, pomelo leaves, holy basil leaves) to be prepared, we can enjoy our local drink and taste some of the local products such as maize, sweet potato, cassava, peanuts…(depending on the season) or some traditional desserts. Before having dinner, we observe the evening Buddha worship. Evening relaxes with a foot bath in warm water with ginger, salt, and mugwort medicinal herbs.
Day 2: Ky Son Village – Hanoi (B)
Early morning waking up to join Yijinjing traditional exercises makes you feel strong all day long. Then we have breakfast before spending our free time taking pictures in Vietnamese traditional clothes, chatting with people, or further discovering of the Ky Son village and the surrounding area. We leave Ky Son for Hanoi at around 10 AM. The tour ends in Hanoi at around 12:00. Thanks for traveling with My Hanoi Tours!
