Belongs to the suburb district of Dong Anh, Hanoi, Thiet Ung village, Thien Ung village is famed for its skillfully made engraved wood products.
Historically, from 17th century, Thiet Ung was well-known as “the promise land of skilled artisans”. In 2008, the village was recognized as traditional craft village in Hanoi as has maintained a long – standing history of carpentry profession and preserved traditional values.
The village’s products mainly are furniture, mahogany collapsed, carved chests of tea which are very sophisticated. However, what make the village prestigious are intricate carved statue products. The secret is the sophisticated pattern detail and the beauty from chiseling to make a natural beauty.
