The career in the village started hundred years ago. Thach Xa villagers have still preserved and had strong attachment with the traditional work for a long time.

There are 3 types of dragonflies: small and medium respectively lengths 12-15 and 18. To make such beautiful bamboo dragonflies, craftsmen have to make different processes including splitting bamboo, body and wing Cathedral dragonflies, making mine, wing assembly, and decoration. Firstly, they cut bamboo to make the body, then drill two small holes on the sides of the dragonflies, sharpen tail, and dry beak to warp its head. After the first process done, they continue to sharpen wings, polish and join all pieces into a raw dragonfly. It is put into a small stick to check the balance level, and then the body is fixed by adhesive.
