Tourists enjoying Hanoi tours now have the possibilities to admire about 300 large branches of cherry blossoms transported by air from Japan to Hanoi.
In 2015, it was estimated that there were nearly 150,000 visitors attending the Japan Sakura Festival. This year's festival, coincided the upcoming Hung Kings Temple festival 2016, is predicted to seize the attention of over 150,000 people.
Apart from contemplating the pure beauty of cherry blossoms, festival visitors will get the chances to enjoy a number of Japan’s cultural performances, such as Yosakoi dance, martial arts, and performance of the country’s girl group Parallel Dream.
The emergence of the Japanese Cherry Blossom Festival in Hanoi traced back to 2007, offering a dominant cultural activity in Vietnam to introduce Japan’s cultural beauty to visitors.
Managing director of the festival, Suzuki Mari said that the 10th festival tightened the bilateral diplomatic relationship between the two countries over the past 40 years.
This year, more than 300 cherry tree branches, similar to Yaezakura cherry, the most beautiful flowers in Japan, will be transferred from the Japan to Vietnam for this exhibition.
The festival is expected to feature an authentic tea ceremony, calligraphy, traditional dances, along with informational events discussing which is highly expected by those who long for studying or working in Japan.
Additionally, some typical Japanese foods such as Okonomiyaki dish, Yakisoba fried noodles will also be introduced during the festival. Particularly, attendants will get the golden chance to sample a pricy Wagyu beef from Japan with only around 30,000 VND per disk.
The Japan Sakura Festival 2016 is believed to be a fascinating playground for both Vietnamese people and tourists who are enjoying their Hanoi tours.
