Ngo Gia Kham Street

Ngo Gia Kham street, Ngoc Lam ward, Long Bien district, Hanoi, Vietnam.
It’s 300m long, from the gate of Gia Lam railway station, passing Gia Thuy lake to Nguyen Van Cu road. This new name was given in July, 1999.

Another street with same name is located in Yet Kieu ward, Ha Dong district, Hanoi, Vietnam.
It’s 120m long, from Truong Cong Dinh to Phan Huy Chu street, Ha Domg district. This is new street named in January, 2002.

Ngo Gia Kham (1919 – 1990), born in Tu Son district, Bac Ninh province. He was a communist, one of first founders of Military Arms Factory in Viet Bac war zone. In the resistance against the French, he founded the first chemical factory in Viet Bac and manufactured many explosives as mines, grenades, ammunition.
