Le Lai Street

Le Lai street, Ly Thai To and Trang Tien ward, Hoan Kiem district, Hanoi, Vietnam
It’s 400m long, from Tran Quang Khai road to Dinh Tien Hoang street, cuts cross road Ly Thai To – Ngo Quyen, next to Chi Linh park (Ly Thai To park nowadays), passing the headquarters of Hanoi People’s Committee (side gate).

Another street with same name is located in Nguyen Trai ward, Ha Dong district, Hanoi, Vietnam.
It’s 350m long, from Le Loi Ha Dong, toward the end of To Hieu dormitory.

Le Lai (? – 1418), born in Dung Tu village – Kien Tho commune, Ngoc Lac district, Thanh Hoa province nowadays. He was a general of Lam Son insurgents, who sacrificed himself to save his general Le Loi escape from encirclement of troops Ming.
