Having existed since 18th century, achieved the high level of sophistication and prestige in domestic and international market, silk weaving traditional profession of La Khe village in La Khe ward, Ha Dong district, Hanoi has been preserved. From 18th century, 10 families moved from China in 17th and settled at La Khe village and taught local people to weaving silk with high quality. Since then La Khe become more and more famous to not only Thang Long citizen but to nationwide for its high quality, patterns and intricate motifs.
