Dong Ho paintings are also well-known nationwide for its long history with 300 years, its color and its paper which are all made from natural materials. The paper is made of bark of tree named “dzo”. Colors of the painting are refined from various kinds of tree leaves in Vietnam. The red color is taken from earth of hills and mountains; the black color is from coal of burned bamboo's leaves; the glitter white color is made of sea shells.
