Starting on 1/2, citizens from 40 countries can use electronic visa for entry into Vietnam. After obtaining this visa, foreigners will enter and exit through the air, road and sea gates.
From the beginning of February 2017, foreigners who are citizens of 40 countries selected will be able to apply for a visa online through the electronic portal on immigration (http://www.immigration.gov. VN) instead of going directly to Vietnam representative offices in foreign countries or international borders. Foreigners applying for electronic visas only need access to the website, fill in the information form, upload photos, and passport or ID. The visa fee is $25 and is paid directly into the account specified. The time to consider is within 3 days after receiving sufficient information and fees.
Besides the electronic visa under individual needs, the portal also receives the electronic visa as proposed by the agencies and organizations invited and guaranteed. Before applying for visas for foreigners, these organizations have to register an electronic account. The consideration time is in 3 days after receiving sufficient information and fees.
The implementation period lasts for 2 years. After this time, the relevant agencies will continue to review and adjust to fit with reality.
